DIVERSITY, EQUITY and INCLUSION
Diversity is the active presence of differences within the workplace/production that can include differences in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age and socioeconomic class.

Equity is the act of ensuring that all processes are impartial, fair, and just. Equity functions to provide equal possible outcomes for every individual.

Inclusion
Inclusion is the practice of ensuring that people feel a safe and actual sense of belonging in the workplace- thereby eliminating the dark cloud of “otherness”. This means that every person feels comfortable and supported by the production when it comes to working as their authentic self.

Diversity
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (commonly referred to as DEI) have taken center stage in all aspects of media. Producers and directors have been called on to work to achieve meaningful actualized change in spite of a long history of inequity that has marginalized underrepresented groups within our industry since its inception.
